Creating a modern feel to an existing office space can sometimes be challenging, often due to the anxiety that any change can instill, perhaps on each and every one of us. We're sure everyone is guilty of this, for many reasons on a vast variety of matters.

But change is on the way for one of our clients over the next few months, as we create this new look for our customer, since our initial fitout works many years earlier. An important element of the work was colour, introducing something new to an office space that, like many, has felt comfortable playing it safe with blues and greys. The design had to contend with space requirements and functionality of course, but moving forward this time with more design influence.

This involves our design and manufacture of bespoke coloured furniture, commissioned for particular tasks and positioned prominently within the new glass partitioning that we've installed. By doing so, it creates the 'wow' factor upon entering, very much the focal point and a key requirement by the customer. This same introduction of colour is then extended within the general office space, but it's kept on a leash.

Too much colour loses the impact of the focal point, too little and the general office space hasn't really changed. Stiking the correct balance brings colour with uniformity. The whole space is revamped with a new layout, using new office desks and seating that has elements of the colour, but in proportion.

What's next? We're creating the breakout area that achieves everything it needs to achieve; style with functionality. Wondering on the colour? Sorry, our lips are sealed!

Aspect Interior Concept Ltd provides commercial refurbishment which covers more than just office fitting and office refurbishment. A building refurbishment may include an office fit-out with office partitioning in solid or glazed partition walls, the glass partitioning enhanced by manifestation using a glazing film. In the design of an office alteration, it can form part of the decoration within office interiors. Our partitioning service covers all aspects of partitioning, including folding partitions and moveable walls. Using CAD and our project management helps ensure our associated services such as air conditioning, ventilation, electrical installations, suspended ceilings, lighting and flooring all comply with Building Regulations.

Commercial interiors can involve mezzanine floors, raised access floors and network cabling. Suspended beneath a mezzanine, ceilings fitted with the correct ceiling tiles can offer fire protection. Access flooring and computer floors may assist electrical and Cat5 cabling, which in turn can assist space planning for desks and office furniture. Each project could be considered bespoke, from choosing Cat2 or LG7 compliant light fittings, to installing generators and HVAC, from the choice of joinery to the decorating, Aspect Interior Concept Ltd covers it all.
